Clock Barn Wedding Photography
Matt and Chelsea’s wedding encompassed true emotion, juxtaposed with one of the most fun and lively groom and bridal party that I have had the pleasure to shoot as a Clock Barn wedding photographer.
Real Wedding Moments at a Truly Wonderful Country Venue
Matt prepared for the big day at his family home in Hook, along with his best men (including his three brothers…which was to be one impressive speech later in the day!) Whilst Chelsea met with her excitable bridesmaids at the Audley Wood Hotel in Basingstoke.
They then left their respective accommodation via stretch hummer for the lads and a classic Morris Isis Vantage car for the bride. There were nerves and excitement in the air as both parties made their way to the church, situated in the heart of the Hampshire countryside.
Upon arrival at the wonderful St Leonard’s church in Sherfield-on-Loddon, Chelsea’s sister Kristen performed the important job of giving away the bride. This loving gesture was continued with balloons let-go in memory of Chelsea’s mother.
Clock Barn Wedding
I couldn’t wait to start capturing the wedding photography at Clock Barn in Whitchurch - it was the next setting for the reception. Set in the heart of Hampshire the photographically impressive barn is a truly wonderful country venue. The happy couple were chauffeured down the long private driveway and arrived at Clock Barn where they were greeted by all of their wedding guests. The guests had managed to get ahead to this stunning barn, it’s the upside to having a slow vintage wedding car, and were snapping away with their camera phones. This is a traditional family run wedding venue in Hampshire and you can tell straight away because of the attention to detail; the canapés and drinks were out straight away and they were very good indeed!
Drinks Reception at Clock Barn
As the golden hour neared, the married couple and their friends and family took advantage of the awe-inspiring landscape. Everyone spread out through Clock Barn’s gorgeous grounds and appreciated the historic clock tower. In the foreground you could hear Connie Deadman, their fantastic wedding singer. This made for a great opportunity to capture some natural photos.
Mid-way through the day Chelsea and the bridesmaids snuck off to the bridal preparation room, this is located at one end of Clock Barn and is an elegant and secluded space where they could have a little peace and quite.
Wedding Breakfast at Clock Barn
The fairy lights and bunting adorned the barn and this really did make it feel like a tailor-made wedding experience and created a great picture. It was below this bunting and fairy lights that the speeches were about to happen. I had my camera ready and everyone gathered to experience every emotion possible!
The party was just getting going as the cake was cut and the DJ started the music. Everyone took to the dance floor and couldn’t be persuaded off, not even for the evening buffet.
Whether you are getting married at Clock Barn or another country wedding venue and would like to talk to me about your wedding photography then get in touch.
Getting Married at Clock Barn
Clock Barn is an impressive barn and is a truly wonderful country venue. I love being able to work as a wedding photographer at Clock Barn because it really is a unique barn setting. Because it is a family run business the traditions run deep, it just feels like there is an extra level of effort to produce an unforgettable wedding day. This magical wedding venue is full of history and character and with exclusive use of the beautiful barn, garden and ground you may struggle to find somewhere to top it.
The Stables at Clock Barn
This stunning barn has the perfect area for you to get ready in, The Stable. This is the idyllic place for the morning of your wedding. It is a lovingly converted space which is just out of the way for you to prepare for the ceremony and relax with your friends and family. Clock Barn have really thought about this space and have made sure that you have enough room for a hair and make-up station, a large mirror (perfect for checking out the wedding dress) and lots of lights (this one helps the photographer out so we don’t have to use a flash or compensate with the camera settings). The attention to detail is evident in The Stables as they have even made sure that the colour palette is neutral so it doesn’t clash with your colour scheme. This may seem like a little thing but this means your photographer isn’t adjusting their composition to hide unsightly elements of the room and can just concentrate on capturing real moments. To quote Clock Barn “We’ve let all the natural details in the space sing”.
The Marriage Ceremony at Clock Barn
If you have chosen to have your nuptials at Clock Barn I bet you can’t wait to walk down the aisle in this stunning barn. You do, however, have the choice of three stunning spaces; The Stables, The Dance floor Area and The Main Barn. The Stables offers a cosy feel and has gorgeous detail, you can have up to 50 guests all sat in front of a huge fire place. The dance floor, again, is another cosy place with a relaxed atmosphere flooded with natural light (perfect soft light for a photographically pleasing image). You can have between 50-85 people here. The Main Barn has the wow factor and will have your guests in awe of this unique barn setting. There is a sense of grandeur as the high ceilings open up to show the magnificent beams. With the exclusive use of the Main Barn you can have up to 160 of your nearest and dearest here.
